Hello, I'm Katherine Hughes.  Most of my life my family and closest friends called me Kat.  Thus it seemed reasonable to name my business and online store Kats Kreations. Welcome!

I was blessed to be raised on a farm in central Alberta where I grew to appreciate the beauty of nature all around us.  I could often be found wondering on foot or horseback the pastures, hills, wetlands and forests on our farm and surronding area.  From a young age I was always creating something artistic. Whether it was croquet, knitting, sewing, doodling, pencil drawing, gardening or cooking, it involvled bright vivid colors.

When two years ago I tried my hand at acrylic fluid art I found I had a real passion for the medium. I simply love the way the paint flows and blends so organically, just like in nature. Since then I have expanded my portfolio to include resin geode art to reflex my deep love for the Rockie Mountains where everywhere you look there is something beautiful and different to see. I also have added what I like to call bling art because who doesn't need a bit of sparkle and shine in their life?
